Daisey’s Biography
Daisey Bewley is an ambitious dance instructor and choreographer. Daisey grew up in Gladewater, Texas and began her dance training at the age of 3. She attended Tina Grider's School of Dance where she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and lyrical. She was also a member of the competitive dance team for eight years. Daisey also took gymnastics and acrobatics classes at Faith Flip Gym for several years. During high school, she was a line member of the Gladewater HoneyBears her Freshman year, then went on to become First Lieutenant her Sophomore year, and led the line as Captain her Junior and Senior years.
After high school, Daisey continued her training at Kilgore College and was selected as a member of the 82nd line of Kilgore College Rangerettes. During her time as a Rangerette, she performed in a number of special performances, such as the 80th commemoration of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade multiple times, including the finale number, dancing with Mariah Carrey. While at Kilgore College, Daisey was a member of the KC Dance Club and was also selected as a member of the 8th Generation of Industry Dance Company. As a member of this pre-professional modern dance company, she worked with a number of professional modern instructors and performed at many events, one being the Texas Dance Educators’ Association convention. Daisey recently graduated from Kilgore College with a dual Associates Degree in Fine Arts and Biology.
She currently studies at Texas State University, pursuing a BFA in dance with a teacher certification. During the summer, Daisey works for Crowd Pleasers Dance choreographing for drill teams all across the state of Texas. Throughout the school year Daisey is an instructor at Illusion Dance Center, where she teaches all ages in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, and Contemporary. Daisey is passionate about the feel-good and creative aspects of dance and hopes to invoke new found confidence in each student that walks through her classroom door.
